敏，淄州鄒平人。梁貞明中登科，留爲國子四門博士。後唐天成初，改爲尚書博士，又爲國子博士，轉屯田員外郎，兼太常博士。改戶部員外郎。清泰初，遷國子司業。晉天福四年授祭酒、檢校工部尚書，兼戶部侍郎。開運初，遷兵部侍郎、充弘文館學士，改授檢校右僕射，復爲祭酒。漢乾祐中，拜尚書右丞、判國子監。周廣順初，改左丞，遣使契丹。世宗即位，拜太常卿、檢校左僕射，加司空。顯德五年，上章請老，遷工部尚書，改太子少保致仕，歸淄州別墅。齒數帝即位，加少傳。開寶四年卒，年九十二。
