無住生平，見《歷代法實記》及《景德傳燈錄》卷四：無住，俗姓李，鳳翔郿縣人。開元間赴朔方展效，時年二十，信安王留充衙前遊弈先鋒官。後捨官出家，初得法於無相大師，乃居南陽白崖山。大曆間，杜鴻漸、崔寧皆欽敬之。復居保唐寺而終。 無住，俗姓李，鳳翔郿縣人。開元中從軍朔方。天寶中於太原出家。具戒後，巡禮諸方。乾元二年，至成都淨泉寺。傳禪法於蜀中。大曆九年卒，年六十一。
