權德輿，字載之，天水略陽人。未冠，即以文章稱，杜佑、裴胄交辟之。德宗聞其材，召爲太常博士，改左補闕，兼制誥，進中書舍人，歷禮部侍郎，三知貢舉。憲宗元和初，歷兵部、吏部侍郎，坐郎吏誤用官闕，改太子賓客，俄復前官，遷太常卿，拜禮部尚書，同平章事。會李吉甫再秉政，帝又自用李絳，議論持異，德輿從容不敢有所輕重，坐是罷，以檢校吏部尚書，留守東都。復拜太常卿，徙刑部尚書，出爲山南西道節度使。二年，以病乞還，卒於道，年六十。贈左僕射，諡曰文。德輿積思經術，無不貫綜，其文雅正贍縟，動止無外飾，而醖藉風流，自然可慕，爲貞元、元和間縉紳羽儀。文集五十卷，今編詩十卷。 權德輿字載之，天水畧陽人。元和十三年八月，以病自山南西道節度使任乞還，卒於道，年六十。補詩一首。
