李邕，字泰和，廣陵江都人，蘭臺郎善之子。長安中，李嶠、張廷珪薦其詞高行直，拜左拾遺。宋璟劾奏二張，邕於天后前抗言助之。開元初，歷殿中侍御史，執政忌其才，頻被眨斥。後爲北海太守，李林甫傅以罪，杖殺之。邕早擅才名，尤長碑頌，雖貶職在外，中朝衣冠及天下寺觀，多齎金帛往求其文，饋遺至鉅萬，自古鬻文獲財，未有其比。嘗撰《六公詠》，杜甫《八哀詩》所謂“朗詠六公篇，憂來發蒙蔽”是也，今不傳。存詩四首。
