張九齡，字子壽，韶州曲江人。七歲知屬文，擢進士，始調校書郎，以道侔伊呂科爲左拾遺，進中書舍人，出爲冀州刺史。以母不肻去鄉里，表換洪州都督，徙桂州兼嶺南按察選補使，以張說薦，爲集賢院學士，俄拜中書侍郎，同平章事，遷中書令。爲李林甫所忮，改尚書右丞相。罷政事，貶荆州長史，請歸還展墓。卒，諡文獻。九齡風度醖藉，在相位，有謇諤匪躬之誠，以直道黜，不戚戚嬰望，惟文史自娛。嘗識安祿山必反，請誅，不許。後明皇在蜀思其言，遣使致祭，卹其家。集二十卷，今編詩三卷。
