岑參，南陽人，文本之後。少孤貧，篤學，登天寶三載進士第。由率府參軍累官右補闕，論斥權佞，改起居郎，尋出爲虢州長史，復入爲太子中允。代宗總戎陝服，委以書奏之任，由庫部郎出刺嘉州。杜鴻漸鎮西川，表爲從事，以職方郎兼侍御史領幕職。使罷，流寓不還，遂終於蜀。參詩辭意清切，迥拔孤秀，多出佳境；每一篇出，人競傳寫，比之吳均、何遜焉。集八卷，今編四卷。
