包融，潤州人一云湖州人。開元初，與賀知章、張旭、張若虛皆有名，號吳中四士。張九齡引爲懷州司馬，遷集賢直學士，大理司直。子何、佶，世稱二包，各有集。融詩今存八首按唐《藝文志》，融與儲光羲皆延陵人，曲阿有餘杭尉丁先芝、緱氏主簿蔡隱丘、監察御史蔡希周、渭南尉蔡希寂、處士張彥雄、張潮、校書郎張翬、吏部常選周瑀、長洲尉談戭，句容有王府參軍殷遙、硤石主簿樊晃、橫陽主簿沈如筠，江寧有右拾遺孫處玄、處士徐延壽，丹徒有江都主簿馬侹、武進尉申堂搆十八人，皆有詩名，殷璠彙爲《丹陽集》。今存者包融以下十五人，儲光羲別見，張彥雄、馬侹無考，申堂搆止存句。
