今檢《宋高僧傳》卷十一《唐洛京伏牛山自在傳》云：「所著《三傷歌》，辭理俱美，警發迷蒙，有益於代。
」後接述王蜀乾德間人引此歌事。
《三傷歌》即《三傷頌》，可知三詩皆元和間自在作，王蜀時另無伏牛上人其人。
