煙鴻上漢聲聲遠，逸驥尋雲步步高。
應笑內兄年六十，郡城閑坐養霜毛。

胡震亨《唐音戊籤》一〖《統籤》卷五六二〗云：「按牧之卒年五十，此云六十，或非牧詩也。
」其說是。
岑仲勉先生《唐人行第錄》引後二句詩後云：「如謂內兄指被送者而言，則牧既爲杜十三，其內兄〖即妻兄〗斷不能爲杜十三。
如曰詩題『杜十三』錯誤，亦有疑問，因牧卒時年僅五十一，若牧尚未還京，行年更不及五十，詩苟牧自作，斷不至如此荒唐。
故對此詩之較合理解釋，當是送者乃牧內兄之爲郡守者，後人不求甚解，將此詩混入《樊川集》內也。
」今按：《樊川文集》卷四有《寄內兄和州崔員外十二韻》，知作者即此人。
《全唐詩》卷五二四誤收杜牧名下，今爲移正。
又，杜牧《自撰墓志銘》稱妻裴氏，未言另有崔氏妻。
《樊川文集》卷九有其妻兄裴希顏墓志，希顏仕履未至州牧，姑存疑。
