後《漫叟詩話》、《本事曲》載孟昶《玉樓春》詞，以爲即原作，但宋時即有人疑爲後人據東坡詞隱括而成，並非孟作。
趙聞禮此詞，云爲「蜀帥謝元明因開摩訶池，得古石刻，遂見全篇。
」似較可信，然清宋翔鳳《樂府餘論》亦疑爲南宋人僞託，但幷無確證。
