依余所知，最早的是一○七七年陝西咸甯縣臥龍寺的石刻本，但題太宗，不作玄宗。
一三○八年河南登封縣的刻石，又題玄宗，不作太宗。
敦煌本標題作《玄宗題梵書》，證明這首詩在唐末已經流傳，而且證明在唐末是題玄宗作的。
